Notes

A number of different spotted Barbus species have historically been misidentified as Barbus lineomaculatus. Until a thorough check has been made of the museum collections on which the distribution map is based, it must be recognised that the map contains inaccuracies. It must be noted that Enteromius lineomaculatus formerly belonged to the genus Barbus, but following the work of Yang et al. (2015) it has been changed to Enteromius (Skelton 2016).
