Alternatively, Explore species
Least Concern (LC)

Rationale

The Short-legged Agile Grasshopper (Plegmapteroides minutus) is widespread in the west of South Africa. Even though very little has been published on this species, museum records suggest that it is quite common. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) is ca 78,000 km². As it is unlikely that the species meets the thresholds of a Red List criterion, it is assessed as Least Concern.

Distribution

The species occurs in Succulent Karoo in the west of South Africa (Dirsh 1959). It may also occur in Namibia. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) is ca 78,000 km².
