The Kalahari Agile Grasshopper is common in the Kalahari region of Botswana and northern South Africa. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) is ca 250,000 km². As human activities are unlikely to have a major impact on this species, it is assessed as Least Concern.

The species has been reported to be common in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park at the border of Botswana and South Africa (Bazelet 2014). Data on the population trends is not available.

Threats

The species might be affected by conversion of its habitat into agricultural land in the northeastern part of its range, but large parts of its range have a low human population density. It doesn't appear to be sensitive to grazing or burning (Johnsen 1990).

The species is not utilised.
