The Transvaal Agile Grasshopper (Amblyphymus transvaalicus) has a wide distribution from northern South Africa to northern Namibia. The documented distribution is disjunct with a large gap in northeastern Botswana. Because of its wide distribution, the species is unlikely to meet the thresholds of a Red List criterion and, therefore, it is assessed as Least Concern.
Distribution
Amblyphymus transvaalicus has a disjunct distribution with the eastern part of its range in northern South Africa and southeastern Botswana and the western part in northern Namibia and northern Botswana. It is likely to occur also in southern Zimbabwe. The species may also occur in the area between these two known range parts. Its extent of occurrence (EOO) is ca 1.1 million kmĀ².
