Rationale
(Changed due to Same category and criteria)
This is a range-restricted endemic species from the Western Cape Province in South Africa (EOO 117 km2). Because this taxon has only recently been identified, it is not known which of the subpopulations from the southern Cape belong to this species, and which belong to closely related taxa. Until this has been investigated properly its distribution will remain uncertain. The taxon thus qualifies globally under the IUCN criteria as Data Deficient.
Distribution
Endemic to the Western Cape Province of South Africa, currently known only from Cape Agulhas and Pringle Bay but probably also occurring elsewhere in the southern Cape.
