Least Concern (LC)

Rationale

The threat status of the Cape Flightless Katydid is Least Concern because it has a relatively large extent of occurrence and area of occupancy, and, due to its occurrence within sparsely inhabited regions which are unsuitable for cultivation and development, its geographic range is not expected to be severely fragmented or to experience decline or extreme fluctuations presently or in the foreseeable future. The distribution of this species seems to be clumped because they are not often encountered in nature, but when encountered, they are usually in high density population aggregations.
