Least Concern (LC)

Rationale

The Reticulated Leaf Katydid has a relatively large extent of occurrence and, due to its occurrence in the tree canopy along rivers, its geographic range is not expected to be severely fragmented or to experience decline or extreme fluctuations presently or in the foreseeable future. It is listed as Least Concern.

Threats

The greatest threat to this species is habitat destruction, but due to its widespread distribution in sparsely inhabited regions which are unsuitable for cultivation and development, and in tree canopies in riverine habitats, the Reticulated Sickle-Bearing Leaf Katydid is not expected to be threatened.

Uses and trade

This species is not utilized.

Conservation

No specific conservation measures are in place for this species but it is known to occur in at least five protected areas, Kruger National Park and Ndumu Game Reserve, South Africa, Niokolo-Koba National Park, Senegal, Mt. Kilimanjaro and Ngurdoto National Parks, Tanzania.
