The threat status of the Cape Agile Katydid is Least Concern because it has a relatively large extent of occurrence and, due to its occurrence within protected areas and sparsely inhabited regions which are unsuitable for cultivation and development, its geographic range is not expected to be severely fragmented or to experience decline or extreme fluctuations presently or in the foreseeable future.  

Distribution

The Cape Agile Katydid (Griffiniana capensis) is endemic to South Africa and is found in the Northern, Eastern and Western Cape Provinces, South Africa.
