The threat status of Olszanowki's Black-kneed Katydid is Least Concern because it has a relatively large extent of occurrence and, due its presence at mid-elevations which are unsuitable for cultivation and development, its geographic range is not expected to be severely fragmented or to experience decline or extreme fluctuations presently or in the foreseeable future.

Olszanowki's Black-kneed Katydid (Aprosphylus olszanowskii) is endemic to South Africa and distributed in the Western Cape and Northern Cape Provinces, South Africa, only.
