This endemic taxon is found in the Western Cape and Northern Cape provinces in South Africa (EOO 4 420 km<sup>2</sup>). There are no current threats. The taxon thus qualifies globally under the IUCN criteria as Least Concern.

Distribution

Endemic to the Western Cape and Northern Cape provinces in South Africa, from the Roggeveld Escarpment near Sutherland in the west to the Nuweveldberge near Beaufort West in the east.

A proper survey needs to be conducted to establish whether the species still exists at its former localities and to describe population structure and trends. Two subpopulations are close to one another on the Swaarweerberg near Sutherland. Another subpopulations is located on Hammelhoek farm in the Tanwka Karoo and the fourth subpopulation is located near Beaufort West.

Threats

There are no major threats as the subpopulations are isolated from one another and in remote areas.
