Red List of South African Species

Alternatively, Explore species
Least Concern (LC)

Rationale (Changed due to Same category and criteria)

This species is widespread and common, occurring primarily in areas that are not under substantial habitat transformation. It is therefore considered Least Concern.

Distribution

Found across much of southern Africa, including southern Angola, Namibia and the western half of South Africa (Branch 1998, Broadley 2000). Within South Africa it is found in the Northern, Western and Eastern Cape provinces and the southwestern Free State Province, and peripherally in western North-West Province (Bates et al. 2014).  The distribution appears to overlap with that of T. punctulata in the northern range, but this may be due to incorrect identifications and requires further investigation.
