This species is widespread and common, and is found in a number of Protected Areas. It is therefore considered Least Concern.
Distribution
Endemic to Namibia and the western and central parts of South Africa (Broadley 2000). Within South Africa it is found in the Northern, Western and (western) Eastern Cape and southwestern Free State provinces (Bates et al. 2014).
