This species is widespread and abundant, occurring in areas that are not substantially impacted by habitat transformation. It is therefore considered Least Concern.

Distribution

This species is found in South Africa, Namibia and Angola (Branch 1998, Broadley 2000). Within South Africa it occurs in the Northern Cape and extreme western North-West provinces, along the Orange, Kuruman and Hartebees Rivers and in surrounding habitat (Branch 1998, Broadley 2000, Bates et al. 2014).
