This is a very common and widespread species, occurring in a number of Protected Areas, and is therefore not considered to be under substantial threats.

Distribution

This species is found in southern Namibia and northwestern South Africa, just entering southwestern Botswana (Broadley 2000). Within South Africa it is found in the central and northern parts of the Northern Cape in a pattern that appears to track the Hartebees River Basin (Bates et al. 2014).
