This species is widespread in South Africa, in areas not under substantial habitat transformation. It is also found in a number of Protected Areas and is therefore considered Least Concern.

Distribution

This species is widespread in southern Africa, found in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and southern Angola (Broadley 2000). Within South Africa it is found in the Northern and Western Cape provinces, adjacent parts of the Eastern Cape, northwestern corner of the North West and southwestern Free State provinces (Bates et al. 2014).
