Least Concern (LC)

Rationale (Changed due to Same category and criteria)

This subspecies is not often encountered within its restricted range, probably because of its fossorial habits (it lives in deep sand). It occupies a relatively small range (extent of occurrence ca. 6,000 km2), however, it is not thought to experience any significant threats and is therefore listed as Least Concern .
