A widespread species that occurs from southern Angola through Namibia to South Africa (Broadley 2002). In South Africa it occurs throughout the Northern Cape and Western Cape provinces, the western half of the Eastern Cape, and southern half of the Free State provinces (Bates et al. 2014).
