Red List of South African Species

Alternatively, Explore species
Least Concern (LC)

Rationale (Changed due to Same category and criteria||)

Widespread and common, with no known threats.

Distribution

A southern African endemic with two widely separated populations, one in north-central Namibia and the other in southeastern Botswana, extending into South Africa (Broadley 1990, 1991, Spawls and Branch 1995, Branch 1998, Marais 2004, Dobiey and Vogel 2007). Most of the records from South Africa are in Limpopo and Gauteng provinces, but the southernmost record (Bates et al. 2014) is from the Kuruman region of the Northern Cape. It is likely that the species also occurs in North-West Province.
