Has a large range in South Africa and is not known to be threatened. Occurs in several Protected Areas.
Distribution
Occurs from coastal southern Kenya southwards to eastern Tanzania, eastern Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa and Eswatini (Swaziland) (Spawls and Branch 1995, Branch 1998, Rasmussen 2005). In South Africa it is found in Limpopo, northern and eastern Mpumalanga and northeastern and coastal KwaZulu-Natal provinces (Bates et al. 2014).
