Common and not threatened throughout its range, much of which is in semi-arid areas with little habitat transformation.

Distribution

Endemic to southern Africa; distributed in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and southwestern Zimbabwe (Bates et al. 2014). In South Africa, it is found across most of the arid regions of the west, central and north (Bates et al. 2014).
