Distribution

Found across most of  southern Africa. In South Africa it occurs along the east coast and in the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, northern and eastern Mpumalanga, Limpopo, northern Gauteng and northeastern North-West Province (Bates et al. 2014). The southernmost record is from Mkhambathi Nature Reserve in the Eastern Cape Province. It also occurs in Eswatini (Swaziland), southern Mozambique, southern Zimbabwe and southeastern Botswana (Broadley 2001).
