Occurs from southern Angola through northern Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, southern Zambia, western Mozambique and Eswatini (Swaziland) (Branch 1998). In South Africa it is known from Limpopo, northern North-West Province, Gauteng, parts of the northern half of Mpumulanga, and northern KwaZulu-Natal provinces (Bates et al. 2014).
