Has a restricted range, but the species does not face any significant threats. It occurs largely in protected areas in South Africa, and is not thought to be severely fragmented.

Distribution

Distributed from St. Lucia and Mtubatuba in northeastern KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa, northwards into southern Mozambique (Broadley 1990, Bates et al. 2014).

Threats

There are no known substantial threats to this species. The species largely occurs in the iSimangaliso World Heritage Site in South Africa.
