This is a recently described species, so little is known regarding its' distribution. To date, it has been found only in a small area, but there is a lack of survey data and it could be more widespread. Without this distribution information, the threats to this species cannot be assessed. Until better information is available regarding its' distribution, it is considered Data Deficient.
Distribution
This species has been recorded from Mpumalanga Province, South Africa but its' overall distribution is not known.To date, there are only a few records from the escarpment around Long Tom Pass in Mpumalanga Province.
