Rationale

This is a range restricted endemic species found in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa (EOO 30 km<sup>2</sup>). There are two known subpopulations, which are not threatened and are in remote areas. Further exploration of this area will in all likelihood reveal further localities for this species. This taxon thus qualifies globally under the IUCN criteria as Least Concern and is classified nationally as Rare (Range Restricted).
Distribution
Endemic to the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, in the Aberdeen district.
