This species is known from only two localities in South Africa, and one in Botswana. The distribution information is still vague, so an assessment of threats is not possible at present. It is therefore considered Data Deficient.
Distribution
This species known from two localities in Limpopo Province, South Africa (Gerlachshoop and the Waterberg Massif) and one locality in southern Botswana (Weinell and Bauer 2018). It could be more widely distributed but information is too sparse at present to provide a good estimate its' distribution.
There is no information currently available for population trends, and the distribution is not well understood to infer whether the species is stable.
Threats
There are no known substantial threats to this species, although it should be noted that its distribution is not well-understood, so threats may have been over-looked.
Uses and trade
No known trade or utlization.
Conservation
It is not yet known if this species is impacted by human activities. An improved understanding of its' distribution would allow for an assessment of the potential impact of habitat transformation in its range.
