Least Concern (LC)
Contributors: Josh Weeber

Rationale (Changed due to Same category and criteria)

Widespread and common, and tolerant of low urban developments. The species is therefore considered Least Concern.

Distribution

Occurs south of the Soutpansberg mountains in the northeastern parts of South Africa (Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal provinces), Eswatini [Swaziland], and Mozambique south of the Limpopo River (Bates et al. 2014). Bourquin's (2004) record in central KwaZulu-Natal is outside the species' expected range and requires confirmation.
