Rationale
Although this species has a small range (extent of occurrence = 734 km2 ), there are no known threats. Part of its distribution is within areas that have transformed habitat, but much of the distribution is within protected areas. The species is considered Least Concern.
Distribution
Found only on the slopes of Mariepskop and in God’s Window area, two disjunct populations on the Eastern Escarpment in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa (Jacobsen et al. 2014).
Threats
Although this species has a relatively small range and is restricted to rocky outcrops, there are currently no known threats. Most of the range falls in a protected area (Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve). Outside this protected area, the landscape is heavily transformed.
