Population trend

Trend

No information currently available but inferred to be stable given that it is distributed within an area with relatively low impacts.

Threats

Granite mining is a local threat in some areas (M.J. Whiting pers. obs.). The species has limited dispersal capabilities and this increases its susceptibility to localized habitat destruction.

Uses and trade

This species is not known to be utilized, although other species in the genus can be found in trade.

Conservation

This species occurs in some protected areas. Monitor the extent and intensity of granite mining within the species' distribution. Monitor any pet trade that arises, and quantify extent.
