Rationale

This species has a moderately sized distribution (extent of occurrence more than 27,000 km2) within which there are no substantial threats. It has been recorded from numerous localities within the Richtersveld National Park, South Africa. Parts of this species range also falls within the Ai-Ais Hot Springs Game Park in Namibia. Overall, there are no tangible threats to this species; it is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Distribution

This species occurs along the lower Orange River from Goodhouse to the Richtersveld in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa, extending northwards into southern Namibia, with records from the Hunsberg, Huamsib and Ploegberg mountains as well as the Fish River Canyon (Bates et al. 2014, Whiting et al. 2015).
