Fairly widespread and common with no major threats, hence is assessed as Least Concern.

Distribution

A South African endemic occurring along the West Coast of South Africa from near Suurfontein (Western Cape Province) in the south to Alexander Bay (Northern Cape), with subpopulations in the Clanwilliam area (Bates et al. 2014), with an extent of occurrence of more than 49,000 km2 . Records in the Calvinia and Niewoudtville area (Bates et al. 2014) are questionable and are no longer included in the distribution. There is a possibility that this species may also occur in Namibia.
