This species is widespread and common. It is found in several protected areas and not under any major identifiable threat, hence is assessed as Least Concern.
This species is widespread and common. It is found in several protected areas and not under any major identifiable threat, hence is assessed as Least Concern.
Endemic to South Africa where it is restricted to the Western Cape and adjacent parts of the Eastern and Northern Cape provinces (Bates et al. 2014). Present in coastal areas as well as the Cape Fold Mountains and along the inland escarpment (Visser 1984, Branch 1998).
The population is inferred to be stable given that there are no major impacts within the distribution
