Distribution

Endemic to southern Africa, where it occurs in southeastern Zimbabwe, southern Mozambique, Eswatini [Swaziland] and northeastern South Africa (Broadley 1977, Bates et al. 2014). Within South Africa it is present in all but the southernmost portions of KwaZulu-Natal (Bourquin 2004), central and eastern Limpopo and Mpumalanga (Jacobsen 1989) and the northeastern Free State (Bates 1996).
