Rationale (Changed due to New Information)
This is a widespread species with no known major widespread threats that is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a threatened category. It is therefore assessed as Least Concern. In central Africa, the species is known from four localities, only one of which is within the region . It is expected to be more widespread in Democratic Republic of Congo. More data are needed to be able to assess this species beyond Data Deficient. Extrapolation from the known localities suggests that the species is likely to be widespread within the Central Africa region, and the species is assessed as Least Concern.
In southern Africa, the species is known only from four locations, three within the southern Africa region. It has not been found elsewhere, despite searches and the expectation that it should be more widespread than currently known. More data are needed to be able to assess this species beyond Data Deficient.
