Terrestrial
Rupicolous, found in crevices and fissures between boulders on rocky outcrops, and under flakes of exfoliating rock under overhangs; usually solitary, occasionally in pairs and rarely three together in the same crevice; specimens have been found on north and south-facing slopes in Makhuleke Sandy Bushveld, Limpopo Ridge Bushveld, Soutpansberg Mountain Bushveld and Soutpansberg Summit Sourveld (see Mucina and Rutherford 2006) at 800–1,200 m a.s.l. (Jacobsen et al. 2014).
