An endemic taxon from the Western Cape Province in South Africa occurring in rocky, montane fynbos habitats in the Groot Winterhoek mountains (EOO 809 km<sup>2</sup>), with limited human activity. The distribution is probably larger than recorded. There are no currently known or foreseen threats. The taxon thus qualifies globally under the IUCN criteria as Least Concern.

Endemic to the Western Cape Province in South Africa, occurring in the Groot Winterhoek mountains near Porterville.

There are no notable threats to its rocky, montane habitat.
