A highly restricted taxon endemic to the Western Cape Province, South Africa (EOO 0.1 km<sup>2</sup>). Only recorded from a small part of the highest parts of the Gamkaberg Nature Reserve. There are currently no threats. The taxon thus qualifies globally under the IUCN criteria as Least Concern and is nationally classified as Extremely Rare.

Distribution

Endemic to the Western Cape Province in South Africa, only known from the highest parts of the Gamkaberg Nature Reserve near Oudtshoorn.

Trend

All the records so far are from the summit ridge of the Gamkaberg mountain range, and are almost certainly from the same subpopulation.

Threats

No threats at present. Remote location on a relatively inaccessible mountain range.
