This species is fairly widespread and common in South Africa with no known substantial threats.

Distribution

The range extends from southern Angola and Namibia southwards to the Namaqualand, Kenhardt and Gordonia districts in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa (Broadley 1990). Recorded as far south as Kakamas and as far east as Keimoes and Augrabies in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa (Bates et al. 2014).
