Distribution

Endemic to southern Africa. Found in southern Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa (Broadley 1990). Patchily but widely distributed in South Africa (Bates et al. 2014). It occurs in northeastern KwaZulu-Natal, northeastern Mpumalanga, northern Gauteng, Limpopo, North-West, western Free State and the northern half of Northern Cape provinces. It probably also occurs in Eswatini (Swaziland) and Mozambique (Bates et al. 2014).
