Rationale (Changed due to Same category and criteria)

Although restricted to a small area in the extreme northwestern part of the Northern Cape, South Africa, this species is widespread and common elsewhere in southwestern Africa. There are no known threats in South Africa, where much of the range is protected within the Richtersveld National Park, and therefore the regional assessment is Least Concern.
