Distribution

Widespread in eastern and southern Africa. Occurs from southern Tanzania westwards to southern Angola and northern Namibia, and southwards to South Africa and Eswatini (Swaziland) (Broadley 1990). In South Africa it is known from Limpopo, Mpumulanga, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal provinces, and the northeastern part of the North-West Province (Bates et al. 2014).
