This species is abundant and widespread. Anthropogenic activities are relatively limited within its distribution.

Distribution

In South Africa, this species occurs in Eastern, Western and Northern Cape, southwestern Free State and western parts of North-West provinces. Globally, it extends into arid southern Africa, as far as eastern Botswana (Branch 1998, Bates et al. 2014).
