This species is common and widespread. Anthropogenic activities within its distribution are limited and the species can tolerate some habitat disturbance.

Distribution

Endemic to southern Africa where it is very widely distributed. In South Africa it is found in Limpopo, northern Mpumalanga, Gauteng, North-West, Free State, Northern Cape, and the Eastern Cape provinces (Bates et al. 2014). Globally, it extends into Namibia and Botswana.
