Distribution

Regionally, Nucras holubi occurs in the central and northeastern regions of South Africa, i.e. the provinces of the Free State, North-West, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, northern KwaZulu-Natal. It also occurs peripherally in the Northern and Eastern Cape Provinces. The species also occurs in Eswatini (Swaziland), Botswana, Zimbabwe, and southern Malawi, possibly extending into Mozambique (Bates et al. 2014). There are also records from northeastern Namibia (De Waal 1978, Branch 1998, Jacobsen 1989, Bourquin 2004). Some records from Eswatini (Swaziland) require confirmation (Boycott 1992), and records east of 32°E in KwaZulu-Natal may be referable to N. ornata.
