Distribution

The most widely distributed species of Zygaspis, occurring from northern South Africa through Namibia, Botswana, southern Angola, Zimbabwe, Zambia, southern Democratic Republic of Congo, southern Malawi and Mozambique (Saiff 1970, Broadley and Broadley 1997). It is on the periphery of its range in South Africa, where it occurs in Limpopo, the western parts of North-West Province and the northern half of Northern Cape, but still has a large extent of occurrence of more than 554,000 km2   at elevation between 250 and 1,200 m a.s.l.
