Distribution

Widespread through the southeastern regions of Africa. Occurs from Zambia southwards to South Africa, where it is known from Eswatini (Swaziland) and all provinces in South Africa, although it is apparently absent from large parts of the Northern and Western Cape provinces (Branch 1998, Bates et al. 2014).
