Widespread and common in parts of its distribution, with no know substantial threats.

Distribution

Widespread, occurring from Kenya southwards to southern Africa (Broadley 1990). In South Africa it is known from Limpopo, northern Gauteng, the northern and eastern parts of Mpumulanga and KwaZulu-Natal provinces, and also from Eswatini (Swaziland) (Bates et al. 2014). May also be present in the North-West Province, South Africa.
