Has a small distribution, where there has been some loss in extent of habitat, although the majority of the habitat within its distribution is intact. This species is assessed as Least Concern.

Distribution

This species is endemic to the Leolo Hills and the outcrops above Steelpoort River in the border region between Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces (Bates et al. 2014, Jacobsen et al. 2014).

No specific information is available but there are no indications of declines. The species is inferred to be stable and not severely fragmented.

Threats

There are no specific threats known. However, the species does have a small distribution within the Leolo Hills and does not occur in any protected areas. Much of the nearby habitat has been modified heavily, although at present most of this species' habitat is still intact.
