Widespread, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) over 38,000 km2. Although the southeastern portion of the range is fragmented and heavily transformed, most of the range is fairly intact. This species is therefore assessed as Least Concern.

Distribution

Considered endemic to Limpopo Province, South Africa, although it may also occur in eastern Botswana (Jacobsen 1989, Bates et al. 2014).
