This species has a small extent of occurrence (753 km2 ) in two adjacent mountains, but there are no significant known threats with habitat transformation very minimal. It is therefore considered Least Concern.


Distribution

Endemic to the Makgabeng Hills and Blouberg, Limpopo Province, South Africa (Bates et al. 2014).

The species is assumed to be stable given that there is mimimal habitat transformation within its distribution.

No significant threats known.

Uses and trade

Not known to be utilized in any way.

Conservation

This species might be found in two isolated subpopulations at Blouberg Mountain and Makgabeng Hills (Bates et al. 2014). Improved survey data, supplemented by genetic analyses would assist to determine if the species is in two subpopulations.
